Many years ago when we lived in San Diego, we decided to have a weekend getaway just over two hours from home. As it turned out, it was one of the most interesting (different) and memorable places we have ever stayed.
Cupid’s Castle (since closed) was such a unique Bed and Breakfast that we couldn’t resist giving it a try. The owners, Connie and Ted, really made you feel special and pampered their guests without intruding.
Set off the main road and surrounded by Oak trees and a lemon grove, the Castle was enchanting with its medieval theme, including a knight to welcome you in the hallway.
Each of the 4 suites making up the B&B had a theme, Lady Godiva, Sir Lancelot, Romeo and Juliet, and Cupids Chamber and each had 2 person Jacuzzis and private balconies.
